Recent Activity
Join a dynamic logistics team as a Remote Freight & Inventory Logistics Coordinator, where you’ll orchestrate the seamless movement of goods across the supply chain without ever stepping foot in a warehouse. Leverage cutting-edge WMS and TMS platforms to manage freight scheduling, stock reconciliation, and material flow from the comfort of your home office.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Freight, Stock, and Material Logistics Coordinator to serve as the central nervous system for our distribution network. This isn’t a typical data entry role; it’s a high-impact position where your decisions directly dictate on-time delivery rates, inventory accuracy, and carrier cost efficiency. You will act as the primary liaison between remote warehouse teams, third-party carriers, and internal procurement, ensuring that raw materials and finished goods move with precision. If you thrive on solving complex logistical puzzles—rerouting delayed freight, optimizing load consolidation, and preventing stockouts before they happen—this role offers the autonomy and strategic visibility you’ve been looking for.
What You’ll Do: Command the Digital Supply Chain
Freight Orchestration & Carrier Management
- Schedule, track, and expedite inbound/outbound LTL, FTL, and parcel shipments via TMS (e.g., Oracle TMS, MercuryGate, or project44).
- Negotiate spot rates and accessorial charges with carrier partners to minimize transportation spend.
- Proactively monitor GPS/EDI feeds to identify exceptions (delays, damages, missed appointments) and execute recovery plans in real-time.
Inventory Control & Stock Integrity
- Reconcile daily cycle counts and perpetual inventory records against WMS data (NetSuite, SAP EWM, Manhattan Associates).
- Investigate variances between physical stock and system quantities; coordinate root cause analysis with remote site leads.
- Manage material disposition workflows for damaged, obsolete, or returned goods (RMA/RTV processing).
Material Flow & Documentation
- Generate and validate Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proof of Delivery (PODs), customs paperwork (for cross-border), and hazardous materials declarations.
- Coordinate cross-dock and transload schedules to reduce dwell time and handling costs.
- Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and ISO 9001 documentation standards across all digital records.
What You Bring: The Remote Logistics Toolkit
Hard Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in freight coordination, inventory control, or supply chain analysis (warehouse supervision experience a major plus).
- Advanced proficiency in WMS and TMS platforms; ability to build custom reports/dashboards in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Deep understanding of INCOTERMS, NMFC classifications, and freight audit/payment processes.
- Experience managing 3PL relationships and vendor scorecards (OTIF, claims ratio, cost per pound).
Remote-Ready Competencies
- Proven track record of high productivity in a fully remote environment; self-directed workflow management.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication for negotiating with carriers and briefing cross-functional stakeholders via Slack/Teams/Zoom.
- High-speed internet, dual-monitor setup, and a quiet, ergonomic workspace suitable for sustained focus on detailed logistics data.
Salary Range
$52,000 – $72,000 USD/year (Base Salary + Quarterly Performance Bonus).
Note: Compensation is calibrated based on experience level, certifications (e.g., CPIM, CLTD), and geographic differential. This range reflects the national median for senior coordinators managing multi-site freight and inventory portfolios remotely.
Benefits & Perks: Built for the Modern Professional
- True Work-Life Integration: Core hours (10 AM – 3 PM EST) with flexible start/stop times; no mandatory overtime during non-peak seasons.
- Home Office Stipend: $1,500 annual allowance for ergonomic furniture, monitors, and productivity software.
- Comprehensive Health: Medical, Dental, Vision (100% employer-paid premiums for employee), HSA/FSA matching, and Telehealth access.
- Professional Growth: $2,000/year education budget for APICS/ASCM certifications, TMS admin training, or data analytics courses.
- Generous PTO: 15 days accrued PTO + 10 company holidays + 2 “Mental Recharge” days.
- 401(k) Match: 4% safe harbor match, immediate vesting.
Why This Role is Different
Most “remote logistics” jobs are just order entry. This position gives you end-to-end ownership of the material lifecycle. You aren’t just moving tickets; you are moving millions in inventory value. You will collaborate with a tight-knit, fully distributed team of planners, analysts, and operations managers who value asynchronous communication and deep work. We invest heavily in automation (RPA for BOL generation, AI-driven demand forecasting) so you spend less time clicking and more time strategizing. If you want to master the art of remote supply chain execution and build a resume that proves you can run logistics from anywhere, this is your launchpad.
