Are you a culinary leader with a passion for operational excellence and a knack for remote management? Join FreshRoute Logistics as a Remote First-Line Supervisor, where you will oversee food preparation workflows and quality standards from the comfort of your home office.
About the Role
FreshRoute Logistics is redefining how food preparation is managed across our national network of ghost kitchens and preparation hubs. We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented First-Line Supervisor of Food Preparation Workers to act as the central nervous system of our production lines. In this 100% remote position, you won’t be chopping vegetables; instead, you will be the strategic architect ensuring that our on-site teams are executing recipes perfectly, maintaining rigorous safety standards, and hitting production quotas.
You will utilize state-of-the-art digital monitoring tools, real-time inventory software, and video communication to guide your team. Your goal is to bridge the gap between corporate culinary standards and ground-level execution, ensuring every dish that leaves our facilities meets our gold standard of quality.
Salary Range
$52,000 – $78,000 USD per year (Depending on experience and certifications)
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
You will monitor daily production schedules and coordinate with on-site leads to ensure food preparation tasks are completed on time. You’ll be responsible for analyzing output data to identify bottlenecks and implementing real-time solutions to keep the workflow seamless.
Quality Control & Compliance
Maintaining food safety is non-negotiable. You will remotely audit HACCP logs, monitor temperature control reports, and ensure all food preparation workers are adhering to strict health department regulations and company safety protocols.
Team Leadership & Training
Through virtual check-ins and digital training modules, you will mentor your staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide corrective coaching. You will be the primary point of contact for resolving personnel conflicts and optimizing staff scheduling to meet peak demand.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food service management or culinary supervision.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Inventory Management Software (IMS) and remote communication tools like Slack, Zoom, and Trello.
- Certifications: ServSafe Manager certification is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and a track record of improving production efficiency.
- Connectivity: A reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office environment to handle sensitive operational data.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage teams across different time zones.
