About the Role

Our organization seeks a Remote Fire Engineer to spearhead the creation of innovative fire suppression strategies across a portfolio that includes high‑rise office towers, renewable energy plants, and large‑scale manufacturing sites. You will partner with architects, safety consultants, and project managers to embed fire modeling into every phase of design, from initial feasibility to final construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and validate fire protection designs using CFAST, PyroSim, and other performance‑based tools; Conduct comprehensive hazard analyses and risk assessments for complex structures; Produce detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction submittals; Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure strict adherence to NFPA, International Building Code, and client‑specific safety standards; Provide technical guidance during on‑site installation and commissioning activities; Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.

Collaboration and Leadership

Lead virtual design charrettes with global stakeholders, facilitate cross‑functional workshops, and drive consensus on fire safety solutions; Maintain clear communication channels across time zones; Ensure all design outputs meet rigorous quality assurance protocols.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a closely related discipline; Minimum three years of professional experience designing fire protection systems for high‑rise or industrial facilities; Proficiency in fire dynamics, sprinkler system design, and performance‑based fire modeling; Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences; Strong project management skills and familiarity with BIM and cloud‑based collaboration platforms; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus but not required.

Education and Experience

Compensation
