Our client, a leading construction consulting firm based in Chicago, Illinois, is expanding its remote workforce and needs an Estimator who can analyze blueprints, evaluate material costs, and produce accurate project bids. Working from any location within the United States, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure each estimate aligns with budgetary constraints and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Review architectural and engineering drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Calculate quantities, apply unit costs, and generate comprehensive cost proposals.
• Conduct risk assessments and incorporate contingency factors to protect profit margins.
• Maintain a database of vendor pricing, market trends, and historical project data.
• Present findings to stakeholders through clear, visual reports and interactive dashboards.

Requirements

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and possess at least three years of experience in construction estimating or cost analysis. Proficiency with estimating software such as Sage Estimating, ProEst, or PlanSwift is essential, as is strong Excel skill set. Excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of meeting tight deadline pressures are required.

Salary Range
