About the Role

As a Remote Estimator, you’ll be the backbone of our project success, responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates. You’ll work closely with project managers, architects, and vendors to ensure competitive bidding while maintaining profitability. This role offers full autonomy and the flexibility to manage your schedule while contributing to meaningful construction projects across the nation.

What You’ll Do

• Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to understand scope requirements
• Prepare detailed material, labor, and equipment cost estimates using industry software
• Analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate favorable terms
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Identify potential risks and opportunities in project bids
• Participate in bid openings and present estimates to leadership
• Continuously improve estimation processes and accuracy

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating
• Strong proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, or similar)
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and codes
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated home office setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in commercial or residential construction estimating
• Knowledge of LEED certification and sustainable building practices
• Familiarity with CRM and project management tools

Salary Range & Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000 – $95,000 USD/year, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance. We offer competitive pay with opportunities for overtime and performance bonuses. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
