About the Role

As our Remote Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects from inception through closeout. Your expertise will directly influence our ability to win bids and deliver projects on budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for diverse construction projects
• Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and contract documents
• Collaborating with project managers, procurement teams, and subcontractors
• Preparing bid proposals, cost reports, and value engineering recommendations
• Maintaining current knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and industry trends
• Supporting business development through pre-construction planning and feasibility studies

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating
• Proficiency with estimating software (ProEst, Sage, or similar platforms)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial construction projects valued between $2M-$50M
• Certification as a Professional Estimator (PE) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
• Familiarity with Lean construction principles and value engineering
• Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:

$65,000 – $85,000 USD/year
