About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects including commercial buildings, infrastructure developments, and industrial facilities. You’ll analyze project specifications, review blueprints, coordinate with subcontractors, and develop detailed quantity takeoffs using advanced estimating tools such as ProEst, Sage, and Bluebeam.

As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will collaborate closely with project managers, procurement specialists, and senior leadership to ensure all estimates align with client expectations and company profitability goals. Your insights will directly influence bid decisions and help position our organization as a trusted partner in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bids for various construction project types
• Conduct quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings
• Analyze material costs, labor rates, and equipment expenses
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing information
• Develop and maintain cost databases and historical records
• Support business development efforts through bid strategy consultation
• Review project plans and specifications for completeness and accuracy
• Present estimate summaries and findings to internal stakeholders

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating
• Proficiency in estimating software (ProEst, Sage, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and specifications
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and industrial construction projects
• Certification as a Professional Estimator (PE) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
• Familiarity with Lean construction principles
• Knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements

Salary Range

$75,000 – $95,000 USD per year
