About the Role

Core Duties

• Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to extract precise measurements and material requirements.
• Perform quantity take‑offs using advanced estimating tools such as Sage Estimating, ProEst, or Bluebeam.
• Research current market prices for labor, equipment, and supplies, incorporating regional cost variations.
• Develop detailed cost models, including direct costs, indirect costs, overhead, and profit margins.
• Prepare clear, professional proposals and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Continuously monitor cost trends and update estimates to reflect real‑time market data.
• Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure estimate accuracy.
• Maintain a centralized database of estimate templates and historical data for quick reference.
• Perform risk analysis and incorporate contingency allowances into final proposals.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with exposure to commercial or infrastructure projects. Proven track record of delivering accurate, profitable estimates that meet or exceed budget targets. Experience with BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud is highly valued.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu).
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel for advanced calculations and data analysis.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools and CAD drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
