About the Role

As a Remote Electrician, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to design, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems for solar farms, wind turbines, and energy storage facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all installations meet national safety codes and performance standards while minimizing downtime. Although the role is remote, you will occasionally coordinate with on‑site crews via video conferencing and digital work orders to provide real‑time support.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical schematics and specifications for renewable energy projects.
• Conduct virtual inspections and provide guidance to field technicians during installation.
• Troubleshoot faults in photovoltaic arrays, inverters, and turbine control systems.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local jurisdictional codes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including test results and corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging technologies such as battery storage, smart grids, and microgrid controls.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license issued by the state of Texas or a reciprocal state.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Proven experience with solar PV systems, wind turbine electronics, or energy storage systems is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and control schematics.
• Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration via phone, email, and video conferencing.
• Proficiency with standard electrical testing equipment (multimeter, clamp‑on amp meter, insulation tester).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification or equivalent.
