About the Role

VoltEdge Solutions is a fast‑growing engineering services firm that specializes in remote electrical consulting for commercial, industrial, and renewable‑energy projects. As a Remote Electrician, you will review schematics, perform code compliance checks, and provide real‑time support to field teams via video conferencing, shared CAD environments, and cloud‑based project management tools. You’ll be the trusted technical authority that keeps projects on schedule, on budget, and up to NEC standards—all from the comfort of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical drawings, load calculations, and single‑line diagrams for code compliance and design optimization.
• Conduct virtual site assessments using photos, drone footage, and live video feeds to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports, change orders, and permit packages for submission to local authorities.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and field technicians through Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Procore.
• Stay current on NEC updates, UL listings, and emerging technologies such as EV‑charging infrastructure and micro‑grid integration.
• Mentor junior remote engineers and provide onboarding support for new hires.

Requirements

Must‑Have Qualifications

• Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license in at least one U.S. state (reciprocity welcomed).
• Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a consulting or design‑review capacity.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or similar CAD platforms.
• Strong grasp of NEC 2023, NFPA 70E, and relevant local amendments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote stakeholder interaction.
• Reliable high‑speed internet, a dedicated workspace, and the ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with renewable energy systems (solar PV, battery storage, wind).
• Certifications such as NABCEP, OSHA 30, or LEED Green Associate.

Salary Range

$78,000 – $112,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, licensure level, and geographic cost‑of‑living adjustments.
