About the Role

We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Remote Electrical Project Manager to oversee the lifecycle of complex electrical projects, from initial design and procurement to final commissioning. In this role, you won’t be spending your days in traffic; instead, you will be the central hub of communication between site engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

You will be responsible for ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). This is a 100% remote position, requiring a professional who can maintain rigorous oversight of field operations through digital twins, BIM software, and virtual site inspections.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans using Procore and MS Project.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for electrical components, ensuring long-lead items are ordered to prevent project delays.
• Coordinate with remote engineering teams to review blueprints and electrical schematics for accuracy and efficiency.

Financial & Risk Management

• Track project budgets meticulously, managing change orders and ensuring profit margins remain aligned with company goals.
• Conduct remote risk assessments to identify potential bottlenecks in the supply chain or installation phase.
• Prepare detailed monthly progress reports for executive leadership and external clients.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Lead weekly virtual synchronization meetings with field crews and clients to ensure alignment on deliverables.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all technical queries, providing expert guidance on electrical standards and safety protocols.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and quality of materials.

Requirements

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical project management, with a proven track record of managing projects valued over $2M.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software for remote plan review.
