About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our dynamic, fully remote team. In this position, you will be the backbone of our project delivery, translating engineering concepts into detailed, buildable electrical designs. You will collaborate directly with project managers, engineers, and other designers across the country, ensuring every schematic, panel layout, and power distribution plan meets our high standards for safety, code compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or EPLAN.
• Develop single-line diagrams, conduit and wireway schedules, and panel schedules for commercial and industrial projects.
• Coordinate with mechanical and structural designers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Perform load calculations and voltage drop analysis to ensure system performance.
• Review and verify designs against NEC codes and client specifications.
• Prepare material take-offs and assist with project cost estimations.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you bring a solid foundation in electrical design and a passion for precision.

What You Need

• 2-5 years of professional experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or EPLAN is essential.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical engineering principles.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting systems, and grounding design.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• A portfolio or samples of previous electrical designs is a plus.
