As a Remote Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs, creating blueprints, and ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify electrical designs and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and short-circuit analysis to ensure system reliability.
• Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and wiring diagrams for various projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define project requirements and timelines.
• Review and interpret electrical codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to team members.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and design files in our digital repository.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and project timelines.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve design processes.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical Designer or similar role is required. Experience in renewable energy or sustainable building projects is a plus. Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting is essential.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other CAD/BIM software.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuits, and power distribution.
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range

The salary for this Remote Electrical Designer position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 USD per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
