About the Role

As a Remote Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for developing electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and control system schematics for renewable energy projects such as solar farms, wind turbines, and energy storage facilities. You’ll work closely with project managers, field engineers, and procurement teams to translate conceptual designs into build‑ready documentation. The position demands a blend of technical expertise, creative problem‑solving, and strong communication skills to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical designs using AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar CAD software.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short‑circuit studies.
• Develop wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and conduit routing plans.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, and local electrical codes.
• Coordinate with mechanical and civil teams to resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.
• Prepare design packages for client review, permitting, and construction handover.
• Support field teams with RFIs, design clarifications, and as‑built updates.
• Maintain version control and documentation within the company’s PLM system.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design for power, renewable energy, or industrial projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical; knowledge of Revit MEP is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of power distribution, motor control centers, and lighting systems.
• Ability to perform calculations using ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar software.
• Familiarity with PLC programming basics and SCADA integration.
• Excellent grasp of ANSI/IEEE standards and NEC articles.
