About the Role

Our client, Innovate Energy Solutions, is seeking a talented Electrical Designer to develop and refine electrical schematics, control systems, and power distribution layouts for commercial and utility‑scale projects. You will work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and software developers to ensure designs meet stringent safety standards and client specifications. The role emphasizes creativity, precision, and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical, buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and produce detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical and Revit. Perform load calculations and short‑circuit analyses to verify system performance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with mechanical and structural components. Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve quality and compliance. Support field engineers by providing technical documentation and troubleshooting guidance during implementation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Minimum of three years of professional experience in electrical design, preferably within energy or infrastructure sectors. Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE standards, and renewable energy interconnection requirements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Education and Experience

Candidates should hold an ABET‑accredited engineering degree and have a proven track record of delivering complex electrical designs on schedule. Experience with BIM workflows and familiarity with cloud‑based collaboration tools such as BIM 360 or Trimble Connect is highly desirable. Professional certifications, such as the Certified Electrical Designer (CED) credential, will be considered an asset.

Compensation
