About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our growing team of engineering professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs, creating schematics and layouts, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive power system solutions. You’ll work on diverse projects including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, healthcare centers, and renewable energy installations.

Your primary responsibilities will include creating electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical and Revit, performing load calculations, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring all designs comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local regulations. You will coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings and specifications
• Perform electrical load analysis and short circuit calculations
• Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated project delivery
• Review vendor submittals and equipment specifications
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations
• Support construction administration and field observation activities

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical design for commercial and industrial projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, and other relevant electrical standards
• Experience with power distribution systems, lighting design, and control systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
• LEED accreditation
• Experience with renewable energy systems design
• Knowledge of BIM coordination processes

Compensation & Benefits

$65,000 – $85,000 USD/year
