About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

Develop detailed electrical schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, ensuring adherence to NEC, IEC, and local code requirements. Conduct load studies, short‑circuit analyses, and short‑duration transient simulations to verify system reliability. Perform virtual site walkthroughs using AR/VR tools to validate design feasibility before release.

Collaboration & Communication

Partner with cross‑functional teams — including mechanical engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists — to integrate electrical components into overall product designs. Participate in daily stand‑up meetings, design review sessions, and client video conferences, presenting technical concepts clearly and concisely while fostering a collaborative remote environment.

Documentation & Compliance

Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials, specification sheets, and test reports. Maintain version control of design files using Git or similar tools, and ensure all documentation meets internal quality standards and regulatory audit trails. Conduct regular compliance checks to guarantee adherence to industry codes and client specifications.

Testing & Validation

Support prototype testing and validation by providing design data for hardware‑in‑the‑loop simulations, and troubleshoot any field‑issue discrepancies reported by installation teams. Analyze test results to refine designs and improve performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

Education

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Professional Experience

Accumulate at least 4 years of hands‑on experience in electrical design for manufacturing or construction projects, demonstrating a track record of delivering complex schematics on schedule and within budget.

Technical Proficiency

Demonstrate advanced competence in AutoCAD Electrical or comparable CAD platforms, and familiarity with simulation tools such as ETAP or DIgSILENT. Knowledge of PLC programming (ladder logic) and experience with BIM integration are highly advantageous. Experience with version control (Git) and issue tracking (Jira) for design collaboration is required.

Analytical Skills

Show strong problem‑solving abilities, including the capacity to interpret client specifications, perform calculations, and optimize designs for cost, weight, and energy efficiency.

Preferred Skills

Experience with renewable energy integration, such as solar PV or wind‑power systems, and familiarity with energy‑management software (e.g., OpenDSS). Proficiency in scripting (Python, VBA) to automate repetitive design tasks is a plus. Familiarity with cloud‑based PLM systems like Arena or Windchill and strong written communication skills are highly valued. Ability to mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement is essential.

Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 – $75,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance.
