About the Role

The Director of Clinical Services will serve as the chief clinical authority within a nationwide virtual health provider. You will oversee all clinical programs, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and champion evidence‑based practices that enhance patient outcomes. This position reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer and collaborates with technology, operations, and business teams to integrate clinical excellence into every digital touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Clinical Leadership

• Define and execute the organization’s clinical vision, aligning it with strategic business objectives.
• Oversee the development and implementation of clinical protocols, guidelines, and best‑practice standards for remote patient care.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous enhancement of care delivery.

Program Development & Quality Assurance

• Design and expand telehealth service lines, ensuring they meet clinical efficacy and safety benchmarks.
• Coordinate with providers, nurses, and allied health professionals to create seamless virtual care pathways.
• Manage clinical audit processes, credentialing, and compliance with HIPAA, state licensing, and payer requirements.

Team Building & Professional Development

• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high‑performing remote clinical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Implement ongoing education programs, staying current with telehealth advancements and clinical innovations.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication channels to ensure rapid response to clinical challenges.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in nursing, medicine, or a related clinical field (e.g., MSN, DNP, MD) with active licensure.
• Minimum of 10 years of clinical leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a telehealth or virtual care environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical quality improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams remotely.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and digital health tools.
