About the Role

The Director of Clinical Services is a pivotal leadership position at VitaCare Digital Health, responsible for overseeing all clinical operations across our telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and digital therapeutics lines of business. This 100% remote role reports directly to our Chief Executive Officer and serves as the primary clinical decision-maker for our 200+ remote clinical staff, including nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and registered nurses.

You will lead the development and implementation of clinical policies, protocols, and quality assurance frameworks that align with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and Joint Commission standards. Unlike traditional clinical leadership roles, this position requires no in-person office time: all team collaboration, stakeholder meetings, and strategic planning happens via secure video conferencing, asynchronous communication tools, and our custom clinical operations platform. You will also lead annual clinical staff training programs, ensuring all team members are up to date on the latest evidence-based care practices and regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and enforce clinical standards, care pathways, and risk management protocols for all patient-facing digital health services
  • Mentor, coach, and performance-manage remote clinical teams across 40+ U.S. states
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to integrate clinical best practices into new platform features and tools
  • Oversee compliance audits, incident response, and continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain 99%+ patient satisfaction scores
  • Represent VitaCare at industry conferences, regulatory working groups, and partner stakeholder meetings (all virtual, no travel required)

Salary Range & Compensation

We offer a highly competitive compensation package for this remote leadership role, with a base salary range of $145,000 – $195,000 USD/year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Top candidates may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus of up to 15% of base salary, plus equity grants in VitaCare Digital Health as part of our employee ownership program.

Requirements

We are seeking a seasoned clinical leader with a proven track record of managing remote teams and scaling digital health operations. Minimum qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related clinical field
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state licensure preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience, with at least 3+ years in a remote or digital health setting
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state-level telehealth laws
  • Proficiency with clinical EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and remote team management tools like Slack, Asana, and Zoom
