About the Role

As a Remote Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and other special needs. Your primary responsibility involves providing virtual assistance with daily living activities, medication reminders, appointment scheduling, and emotional support through secure video calls and phone consultations. You will collaborate closely with care coordinators, family members, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support plans are implemented effectively.

This position requires you to maintain detailed documentation of all interactions, track progress toward individual goals, and report any concerns or changes in condition to the appropriate team members. You will participate in regular virtual team meetings, continuing education sessions, and case conferences to stay current with best practices in disability support and telehealthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual companionship and emotional support to clients with disabilities

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in direct support, healthcare, or related field

• Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (occasional in-person visits may be required)
• Ability to pass background check and obtain required certifications

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $42,000 – $58,000 USD/year
