About the Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Datacenter Technician who thrives on problem‑solving and can manage multiple high‑priority tasks in a fast‑paced environment. In this remote capacity, you will:

• Install, configure, and upgrade server hardware, networking gear, and storage arrays.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and performance tuning on a variety of operating systems.
• Collaborate with our cloud operations and cybersecurity teams to ensure uptime and compliance.
• Document all changes in our ITSM platform and provide clear, concise status reports to stakeholders.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to resolve critical incidents outside of regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware provisioning and lifecycle management for physical and virtual servers.
• Monitoring and responding to alerts from network monitoring tools.
• Implementing redundancy and failover strategies to guarantee 99.99% availability.
• Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and ensuring timely procurement.
• Training new hires and creating knowledge‑base articles for recurring issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a datacenter or systems administration role.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware (x86, ARM), SAN/NAS, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM).
• Proficiency with networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and basic firewall configuration.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting incidents and collaborating with distributed teams.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, Microsoft MCSA, or RHCSA) are a plus.

Salary Range
