About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware, storage arrays, and networking equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including firmware upgrades, patching, and hardware replacements.
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) and respond to alarms or anomalies.
• Document all actions in our CMDB and incident management system with precision.
• Collaborate with Network, Security, and Operations teams to resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and 24/7 shift coverage as required.
• Continuous improvement: Identify bottlenecks, recommend upgrades, and contribute to automation initiatives.

Requirements

We’re looking for people who bring both skill and enthusiasm:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on datacenter or system administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing), and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Experience with rack‑mount hardware, cable management, and power distribution units.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Datadog, New Relic) and ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills – you’ll be the voice of the datacenter to remote teams.
• Valid driver’s license is a plus (for occasional on‑site visits), but not required for this role.
