Recent Activity
We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our fully remote team, where you will turn complex data into actionable insights that drive product strategy and business growth. Working from anywhere, you’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to build predictive models and deliver data‑powered solutions that have a real‑world impact.
About the Role
As a Remote Data Scientist, you will own the end‑to‑end analytics lifecycle: from data acquisition and cleaning to model development, validation, and deployment. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to identify high‑value opportunities, design experiments, and communicate findings through clear visualizations and storytelling. Your work will directly influence product roadmaps, marketing strategies, and operational efficiency.
Tech Stack
You’ll work with a modern data ecosystem that includes Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), big‑data tools (Apache Spark, AWS EMR), and orchestration platforms (Airflow, Kubeflow). Visualization is handled via Tableau, Power BI, and open‑source libraries such as Plotly and D3.js. We also leverage cloud services on AWS and GCP for scalable model training and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform large structured and unstructured datasets using SQL, Python, and Spark, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Develop and implement machine learning models (regression, classification, clustering, NLP, time‑series forecasting) to solve business problems ranging from recommendation engines to demand forecasting.
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing and statistical analysis to measure the impact of product changes, feature releases, and marketing campaigns.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for model training, validation, and deployment using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker that enable stakeholders to explore data and track key performance indicators.
- Stay current with emerging techniques in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and MLOps, and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote a data‑driven culture across the organization through brown‑bag sessions and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and SQL; experience with Scala or Java is a plus.
- Strong grasp of statistical concepts, experiment design, hypothesis testing, and Bayesian methods.
- Experience with data visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly) and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with big‑data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
What You’ll Bring
- A passion for turning data into stories that drive decisions.
- Curiosity to explore new algorithms and a willingness to experiment and fail fast.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail and a focus on impact.
- A collaborative spirit that thrives in cross‑functional, distributed teams.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus tied to individual and company goals.
- Fully remote work‑from‑anywhere policy with flexible core hours to accommodate different time zones.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with global coverage options.
- Generous paid time off, parental leave, and a wellness stipend for gym memberships or mental‑health apps.
- Annual learning budget of $2,000 for courses, conferences, certifications, and books.
- Home office setup allowance ($1,000) and ergonomic equipment to ensure a productive workspace.
- Equity/stock options (where applicable) to share in the company’s long‑term success.
- Regular virtual team‑building events, quarterly hackathons, and occasional in‑person meetups (travel covered).
Salary Range
Based on industry standards for remote Data Scientist roles, the expected compensation is $110,000 – $150,000 USD per year, adjusted for experience, location‑based cost of living adjustments, and performance.
