About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing security team. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and monitor security protocols to protect our organization’s computer systems and sensitive data. You’ll conduct vulnerability assessments, respond to security incidents, and collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.

Your responsibilities include developing security policies, performing risk assessments, and staying current with emerging threats and technologies. You’ll create security documentation, lead incident response efforts, and provide security training to staff members. This position reports to the Security Operations Manager and works closely with IT and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and respond to potential threats in real-time
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
• Develop and implement security protocols and best practices
• Investigate security breaches and document findings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security integration
• Create security awareness training materials and programs

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or related roles
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
• Experience with SIEM tools and incident response procedures
• Understanding of network security, firewalls, and encryption technologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of programming languages and secure coding practices
• Background in compliance and regulatory requirements
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms

Salary Range

$75,000 – $110,000 USD/year
