Join a forward‑thinking tech team that protects critical data and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats—all while working from the comfort of your home. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you’ll monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, implement robust defenses, and help shape a security‑first culture across the organization. This role offers competitive pay, continuous learning opportunities, and the flexibility to make a real impact from anywhere in the U.S.

About the Role

Our distributed security operations center relies on skilled specialists who can think like attackers and act like guardians. You will collaborate with engineers, IT staff, and leadership to safeguard cloud environments, endpoints, and network perimeters. The position is fully remote, requiring a reliable internet connection and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Conduct triage, investigation, and remediation of security incidents.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Assist in security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, malware trends, and defensive technologies.
  • Participate in incident response drills and post‑mortem analyses.
  • Recommend and help implement security hardening measures for cloud (AWS/Azure) and on‑premises assets.

Requirements

We look for candidates with a solid technical foundation and a passion for continuous learning. While certifications are a plus, demonstrable experience and problem‑solving ability weigh heavily.

Must‑Have

  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC analysis, or related IT security role.
  • Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Elastic) and IDS/IPS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN).
  • Experience with endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
  • Basic scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical findings for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Reliable home office setup with high‑speed internet.

Nice‑to‑Have

  • CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS GuardDuty, Azure Security Center).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
  • Background in threat hunting or malware analysis.
  • Participation in CTF events, bug bounty programs, or open‑source security projects.

We believe that great security professionals thrive when they’re supported, challenged, and rewarded. Our remote‑first culture offers a suite of benefits designed to promote well‑being and career growth.
