About the Role

As a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be the frontline defender against cyber attacks that threaten our clients and our own infrastructure. You’ll conduct risk assessments, design and implement security controls, and respond to incidents—all while collaborating with cross‑functional teams via virtual collaboration tools. Your primary focus will be to reduce risk exposure, maintain compliance, and continuously improve our security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our networks, applications, and cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices that align with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
• Investigate and remediate security incidents, leading forensic analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Implement and manage security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and MFA solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to embed security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
• Prepare threat intelligence reports and communicate findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging threats, attack techniques, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills:

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a SaaS or cloud‑native environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions, and threat‑intelligence feeds.
• Experience with cloud security governance in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a remote, distributed team environment.
