Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Respond to security incidents swiftly, performing initial triage, containment, eradication, and recovery actions.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to uncover weaknesses before they can be exploited.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and security technologies; share knowledge with the team through briefings and reports.
• Design and deliver security awareness training for employees, fostering a culture of security across the organization.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure rapid restoration of services after a security incident.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record in threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISM, or GSEC are highly regarded and demonstrate your commitment to the field.
• In-depth understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, COBIT) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Proficiency with security technologies: SIEM (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm), firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco), IDS/IPS, endpoint protection (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and cloud security services (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) with a focus on securing dynamic environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think like an attacker to anticipate and mitigate risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and disciplined, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote team setting, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
