You will lead the entire commissioning lifecycle, from initial pre-commissioning checks and functional testing to final site acceptance tests (SAT). Because this is a remote position, you will manage your responsibilities through advanced digital project management tools, coordinating with on-site technicians and field engineers to ensure that project timelines are met without compromising on technical integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists tailored to specific project requirements.
• Oversee the integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure full operational readiness.
• Lead remote technical audits and review field data to troubleshoot complex system discrepancies.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Lead Engineers, and Client Representatives to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Manage the documentation process, including the compilation of final commissioning reports and handover dossiers.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and quality control protocols throughout the testing phase.

Salary Range

$135,000 – $175,000 USD/year

Requirements

Technical Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial commissioning, preferably within the renewable energy, oil and gas, or large-scale power generation sectors.
• Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar commissioning projects from inception to completion.
• Deep understanding of P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical schematics, and control system logic (PLC/SCADA).
• Strong knowledge of international safety standards and regulatory compliance protocols.

Soft Skills & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or a related technical field).
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or specialized commissioning software.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills for effective remote collaboration and client management.
