About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans, schedules, and budgets for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Lead and mentor remote and on-site commissioning teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Review and approve commissioning documentation, including test procedures, checklists, and final reports.
• Coordinate with design engineers, construction managers, and building owners to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Conduct virtual and on-site system inspections, functional performance testing, and quality assurance reviews.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, deviations, and non-conformances in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Prepare and present project status updates, risk assessments, and closeout documentation to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in commissioning, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven track record of managing commissioning projects from pre-design through handover and closeout.
• Experience with ASHRAE Guideline 0, ASHRAE Guideline 1.1, and relevant building commissioning standards.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency with commissioning management software such as Tablot-1, Commissioning Provider, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, building automation systems (BAS), DDC programming, and energy management systems.
• Excellent familiarity with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling tools.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals.
