About the Role

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will own the end‑to‑end cloud architecture lifecycle—from initial requirements gathering and proof‑of‑concept design to production deployment and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with product managers, DevOps engineers, and security specialists to deliver resilient, high‑performance solutions that align with business objectives and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP, leveraging services such as Kubernetes, serverless functions, and managed databases.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi to enable repeatable, version‑controlled deployments.
• Define and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption strategies, and zero‑trust network segmentation.
• Optimize cloud spend through rightsizing, reserved instances, and automated cost‑monitoring dashboards.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct architecture review sessions to ensure adherence to design principles and operational excellence.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their applicability to the product roadmap.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience designing and operating large‑scale cloud infrastructures.
• Deep expertise in at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) with certified credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
• Proficiency with container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE) and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
• Proven track record of implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD).

Preferred

• Experience with hybrid‑cloud and edge‑computing architectures.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or FedRAMP.
• Contributions to open‑source cloud tooling or active participation in cloud community events.

Salary Range

$150,000 – $190,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, certifications, and geographic differentials. This range reflects current market data for senior cloud architects in fully remote U.S. positions.
