About the Role

As a Remote Civil Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and improving the physical framework of our communities. You will utilize cutting-edge software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS tools to create detailed plans for site development, roadways, drainage systems, and public works projects. Your work will directly contribute to safer, more efficient, and sustainable infrastructure for clients across the United States. This is not a lone-wolf position; you will collaborate daily with project managers, environmental scientists, and construction teams via video conferencing and cloud-based collaboration platforms, ensuring seamless project delivery from conceptual design through final construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform civil site design, grading, utility layout, and erosion control calculations.
• Develop construction documents and technical specifications.
• Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for stormwater management systems.
• Review and permit plans with state and local regulatory agencies.
• Provide construction support, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing.

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and the discipline to excel in a remote setting.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred; candidates who are Engine-in-Training (EIT) with a clear path to licensure will be considered.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, preferably in land development, transportation, or municipal projects.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with relevant design standards (AASHTO, state DOT manuals, local ordinances).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Self-motivated with exceptional time management and the ability to meet deadlines independently.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes using Revit or InfraWorks.
• Knowledge of stormwater management software like HydroCAD or PondPack.
• Background in sustainable design (LEED, low-impact development).
• Previous remote work experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range

$85,000 – $120,000 USD/year

Final compensation will be determined based on your professional license status, years of relevant experience, technical proficiency, and geographic cost-of-living adjustments as per company policy.
