About the Role

As a Remote Civil Engineer, you will own the full design lifecycle for transportation, water resources, and site development projects. You’ll coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review construction documents, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations—all while leveraging cloud‑based collaboration tools that keep every stakeholder aligned, no matter where they log in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans for permit submission.
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling (HEC‑RAS, SWMM) to support stormwater management strategies.
  • Coordinate with structural, environmental, and geotechnical engineers to integrate interdisciplinary solutions.
  • Conduct virtual site visits and construction administration support through high‑resolution imagery and drone data.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality‑control documentation in our project management suite (Procore/Asana).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited) – Master’s preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain licensure by comity within 12 months.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in land development, transportation, or water resources.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote client presentations and technical reports.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sustainable design frameworks (LEED, Envision) and green infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with public‑private partnership (P3) project delivery methods.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar.
  • Background in mentoring junior engineers through virtual coaching sessions.

Salary Range

$85,000 – $115,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, licensure status, and project portfolio complexity.

Benefits & Perks

  • 100 % remote work with a $1,200 annual home‑office stipend.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage (company pays 90 %).
  • 401(k) match up to 5 % plus profit‑sharing contributions.
  • Generous PTO (15 days + 10 holidays) and a flexible “work‑when‑you’re‑most‑productive” policy.
