About the Role

As a Remote Attorney, you will serve as the primary legal advisor for multiple business units, drafting and negotiating contracts, managing litigation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions where the company operates. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—product, finance, and operations—to mitigate risk while enabling rapid growth. The role demands a blend of sharp analytical skills, proactive communication, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines without direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership deals.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, coordinating with outside counsel when necessary.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the business; advise on compliance strategies.
• Develop and maintain internal legal playbooks, templates, and training materials.
• Provide day‑to‑day counsel on employment law, intellectual property, data privacy, and corporate governance.
• Participate in strategic initiatives such as fundraising, M&A due diligence, and international expansion.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate or commercial law setting (in‑house or law firm).
• Proven track record negotiating complex commercial contracts and managing litigation portfolios.
• Strong familiarity with technology‑focused legal issues—SaaS licensing, data protection (GDPR/CCPA), IP strategy.

Salary Range

$120,000 – $180,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
