Join a world‑class research team that pushes the boundaries of machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision—all from the comfort of your home office. We offer a collaborative, publication‑driven environment where your ideas directly influence products used by millions.

About the Role

As a Remote Artificial Intelligence Researcher, you will design novel algorithms, run large‑scale experiments, and translate cutting‑edge research into production‑ready models. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and fellow scientists to solve high‑impact problems in areas such as generative AI, reinforcement learning, and multimodal understanding. This position is fully remote; you can be based anywhere with a reliable internet connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct original research and publish findings at top conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL, etc.).
  • Develop and benchmark new model architectures on massive datasets using distributed GPU clusters.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate research prototypes into scalable services.
  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing sessions.
  • Stay current with the latest literature and identify strategic research directions for the organization.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of peer‑reviewed publications in major AI venues.
  • Deep expertise in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and experience with large‑scale training pipelines.
  • Strong mathematical foundations in optimization, probability, and linear algebra.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with foundation models, diffusion models, or large language model fine‑tuning.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Prior work on responsible AI, fairness, or interpretability research.
  • Open‑source contributions to popular ML libraries or frameworks.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive equity package and performance‑based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
  • Generous home‑office stipend ($2,500 annually) for ergonomic equipment and high‑speed internet.
  • Unlimited paid time off plus 10 company‑wide holidays.
  • Annual learning budget ($3,000) for conferences, courses, and certifications.
  • Flexible work hours with core collaboration windows to accommodate global teammates.

Salary Range

Estimated compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 USD per year, plus equity and bonus potential. Final offer depends on experience, location‑adjusted cost of living, and interview performance.

Company Culture

Our culture is built on curiosity, openness, and impact. We celebrate diverse perspectives and encourage researchers to take calculated risks. Weekly “Research Roundtables” give everyone a platform to share early‑stage ideas, while quarterly hack‑weeks let you explore passion projects without roadmap constraints. Remote collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, Miro, Zoom) keep the team tightly connected despite geographic distance.

How to Apply

Submit your CV, a link to your Google Scholar or ORCID profile, and a brief cover letter (max 300 words) describing a recent research project you led and why you’re excited about this role. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; selected candidates will be invited to a technical screen followed by a research presentation and a cultural fit interview.
