Job Summary

Join Bamboo Solutions as a Zscaler Engineer in Washington, Washington, D.C., supporting a mission‑critical U.S. government agency. This hybrid role focuses on managing and modernizing enterprise cybersecurity platforms, especially Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) and broader SASE solutions within a Microsoft environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) solutions.
• Integrate Zscaler services with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and other identity platforms.
• Implement Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture to secure cloud, network, and edge workloads.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and provide tier‑2/3 support for security incidents.
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless policy enforcement.
• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct security assessments, gap analyses, and recommend enhancements.
• Stay current with Zscaler product updates and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years hands‑on experience with Zscaler services (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and related security frameworks.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex security issues across cloud, network, and identity domains.
• Relevant certifications preferred (Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional, CISSP, CCSP, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with government stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting federal or government agencies in the National Capital Region.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) models.
• Automation/scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for policy orchestration.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $105,047.32 annually. Competitive federal‑aligned benefits package.
