About This Position

Job Summary

The Dream Program is seeking a Youth Service Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to lead a small, dedicated team and help close the opportunity gap for youth living in affordable‑housing communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of youth programs, ensuring alignment with DREAM’s mission and compliance with AmeriCorps guidelines.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff and AmeriCorps members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Develop and implement program curricula, workshops, and community‑engagement activities that address educational, social, and emotional needs of participating youth.
  • Track program metrics, prepare reports, and present outcomes to funders, partners, and senior leadership.
  • Manage program budget within the $45,526‑$50,078 salary range, including grant administration and resource allocation.
  • Build partnerships with local schools, housing authorities, and nonprofit organizations to expand service reach.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews for staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming environment that reflects DREAM’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Youth Development, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience managing youth‑focused programs, preferably in affordable‑housing or community‑development settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team‑building skills; experience supervising AmeriCorps members is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of grant writing, budgeting, and outcome evaluation.
