Job Summary
Utilities Service, LLC is seeking a dedicated Work Planner in Lansing, Ingham County, US. This role supports vegetation management projects, coordinating field crews and ensuring safe, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly work plans for vegetation management crews.
- Coordinate with field teams, supervisors, and external stakeholders to schedule tasks and allocate resources.
- Monitor project progress, update schedules, and adjust plans to address weather, site conditions, or client requests.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare and distribute work orders, job tickets, and documentation for field crews.
- Track labor and equipment utilization, reporting metrics to management.
- Maintain clear communication with the public and landowners regarding project activities.
- Utilize GIS and scheduling software to map work zones and optimize routes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in utility work planning is a plus.
- Experience in vegetation management, utility operations, or related field work.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
- Ability to work independently outdoors and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and public interaction.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools, GIS mapping, and Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation
Salary range: $49,476.58 annually.
