Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments for claimants with short‑term and long‑term disabilities.
  • Develop individualized return‑to‑work plans aligned with medical recommendations and employer needs.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, claimants, and employers to facilitate accommodations and job modifications.
  • Maintain detailed case files, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide counseling and resources to improve claimants’ functional abilities and employability.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Group Disability Claims office.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Human Services, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in vocational or clinical case management, preferably within insurance or disability claims.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and workers’ compensation regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification as a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (CVRC) or similar credential.
  • Experience conducting job analysis and ergonomic assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
