About This Position
Maximus is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join its team in Wellesley, Norfolk County, US. This role supports federal programs in national security, defense, and public service, delivering user‑focused design solutions for mission‑critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user interfaces and engaging experiences for web and mobile applications used by federal agencies.
- Conduct user research, create personas, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and subject‑matter experts to translate requirements into design specifications.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and align with government branding guidelines.
- Participate in usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate designs to improve usability and performance.
- Maintain design system components and documentation for consistent implementation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, preferably in government or enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design principles.
- Experience with responsive design, design systems, and front‑end development basics (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
