About This Position
Job Summary
Maximus is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join its team in Fort Collins, Larimer County, US. This role supports high‑impact federal programs, delivering user‑centered design solutions for mission‑critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and subject‑matter experts to define user requirements and design intuitive interfaces.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mock‑ups using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to validate design decisions.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Translate complex federal program workflows into clear, accessible digital experiences.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, provide design feedback during sprint reviews, and iterate quickly based on stakeholder input.
- Stay current with industry trends, accessibility standards (WCAG), and emerging technologies to continuously improve the user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably on government or large‑scale enterprise projects.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design processes and successful delivery of digital products.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, etc.).
- Solid understanding of user‑centered design principles, information architecture, and responsive design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey design concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and experience implementing inclusive design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on federal contracts or with public‑sector clients.
- Familiarity with front‑end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate hand‑off.
- Certification in UX (e.g., NN/g, UXPA) or related methodologies.
Compensation
Salary range: $62,886.91 – $62,886.91 per year.
