Trade Compliance Analyst
About This Position
Stanley Black and Decker is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to work remotely from anywhere on the US East Coast, reporting to the New Britain, Hartford County office. This role ensures global trade activities meet all regulatory requirements while supporting the company’s iconic brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply US import/export regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and customs compliance.
- Conduct classification reviews, licensing assessments, and documentation audits for shipments.
- Collaborate with supply chain, legal, and finance teams to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records in the trade compliance system and generate periodic compliance reports.
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on trade policy changes.
- Support internal and external audits, responding to inquiries from customs authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or related regulatory roles.
- Strong knowledge of US export controls (EAR, ITAR) and import regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with trade compliance software and Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation & Benefits
