Threat Intelligence Analyst

Alignerr is seeking a Threat Intelligence Analyst in Montréal, Québec to support AI research labs by applying real‑world cyber security expertise to train and evaluate advanced AI models.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze adversary behavior, threat campaigns, and cyber‑crime tactics to generate actionable intelligence.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to design and refine training data sets for threat‑focused machine learning models.
• Develop and maintain CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) workflows, including data ingestion, enrichment, and validation.
• Produce concise intelligence reports, briefings, and visualisations for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate AI model outputs, identify gaps, and provide feedback to improve detection accuracy.
• Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and AI security trends.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in threat intelligence, incident response, or related cyber security roles.
• Strong understanding of ATT&CK framework, MITRE, and common threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, data labeling, and model evaluation processes.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills in English (French is a plus).
• Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with AI research teams or in AI‑enabled security solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security controls.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GCTI.
