Job Summary
Advocate Health and Hospitals Corporation is seeking a Telemental Health Clinician II for its Atrium Health Behavioral Health Telepsychiatry program in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County. This 30‑hour per week, full‑time role provides remote psychiatric consultations and post‑discharge follow‑up for emergency department patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychiatric assessments and evidence‑based interventions for patients via secure telehealth platforms.
- Provide post‑discharge follow‑up care, medication management, and crisis stabilization as needed.
- Collaborate with emergency department staff, primary care providers, and virtual patient navigation team to coordinate continuity of care.
- Document all encounters accurately in the electronic health record in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergencies.
- Stay current with telepsychiatry best practices, state licensure requirements, and emerging behavioral health guidelines.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field; LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent licensure in North Carolina.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience providing adult or adolescent mental health services, preferably in an emergency or telehealth setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build therapeutic rapport through video conferencing.
- Proficiency with telehealth technology, electronic medical records, and virtual scheduling tools.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Work Schedule & Compensation
Hours: 30 per week, Monday‑Friday, 4:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Salary range: $68,744 – $103,168 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits‑eligible full‑time position.
