Job Summary

Mobile Communications America (MCA) is hiring a Technical Specialist for its Cellular Network Solutions (CNS) team in Chapel Hill, Orange County, NC. This role provides hands‑on technical support for wireless communications, data, and security projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot cellular network equipment and related software.
• Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and performance monitoring for network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Data division to integrate network solutions with enterprise data platforms.
• Provide tier‑2 and tier‑3 technical support to internal teams and external customers.
• Document procedures, create technical guides, and maintain accurate service records.
• Assist in capacity planning and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and security.
• Support field technicians during on‑site deployments and escalations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience working with cellular network hardware (e.g., LTE, 5G) and network management tools.
• Strong knowledge of RF principles, IP networking, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting protocols, log analysis, and ticketing systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting mission‑critical environments for government or military customers.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based network monitoring platforms.
