Key Responsibilities
- Apply aquatic pesticides and herbicides to control invasive species and maintain healthy waterway ecosystems.
- Assist with routine water quality monitoring, sampling, and data entry.
- Operate and maintain small engines, pumps, and application equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support landscape and turf maintenance crews in wetland and shoreline projects.
- Document all applications and follow state and federal environmental regulations.
- Travel to various field sites within the Kansas City area as required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college program in Environmental Science, Biology, Conservation, Fisheries, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
