About This Position
Job Summary
North Community Counseling Centers is seeking a licensed Substance Abuse Disorder (SUD) / Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor (LCDCIII or LICDC) to join our Valleyview, Franklin County team. This full‑time role provides individual and group counseling, case management, and treatment planning for clients battling addiction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for clients with substance use disorders.
- Provide evidence‑based individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
- Coordinate care with medical providers, social services, and community resources.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and supervision.
- Deliver educational workshops on relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery strategies.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications
- Current LCDCIII or LICDC license in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum 2 years experience providing SUD/AOD counseling in a clinical or community setting.
- Strong knowledge of DSM‑5 criteria, motivational interviewing, CBT, and trauma‑informed care.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
