Structural Engineer – home based

CRC Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to work remotely from Hulme, Manchester. This home‑based role focuses on structural defect inspections and calculations for residential and commercial projects, offering a competitive salary of £60,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural defect analysis surveys on a variety of residential properties.
• Perform structural calculations and produce accurate reports for clients.
• Identify and recommend remedial solutions for identified defects.
• Collaborate with architects, surveyors and other engineers to ensure project compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and cost estimates for commercial projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualified Civil or Structural Engineer (MICE, CEng or equivalent).
• Proven experience in structural defect inspections and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of BS 8110, BS 5950, Eurocode and Building Regulations.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA, ETABS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
