Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and detail structural components for bridges, tunnels, highways, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare and review construction documents, specifications, and calculations in compliance with Texas DOT standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, geotechnical, and construction managers, to ensure project integration.
- Perform field inspections, monitor construction progress, and provide technical support during erection and testing.
- Utilize advanced software (e.g., SAP2000, CSI Bridge, AutoCAD, Revit) for modeling and simulation.
- Develop cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments for structural elements.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry codes (AASHTO, ACI, AISC) and Texas licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in bridge, tunnel, heavy highway, steel, or concrete design.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work hybrid or remotely while residing in Texas.
