Job Summary

ActioNet is seeking a Storage Expert / Backup Engineer in Vienna, Fairfax County, VA. This role requires a SECRET clearance and focuses on managing enterprise storage and backup solutions for Treasury.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support SAN environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain EMC Networker and Data Domain backup systems.
• Plan and execute backup strategies, including daily, weekly, and disaster‑recovery jobs.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for storage infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet data protection requirements.
• Document procedures, create run‑books, and provide knowledge transfer to support staff.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to incidents promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Active SECRET security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise SANs (e.g., EMC, NetApp, Hitachi).
• Strong hands‑on experience with EMC Networker and Data Domain backup solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI networking.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Treasury or other federal agency environments.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, or DISA STIG.
• Certifications: EMC Proven Professional, Cisco CCNA, or similar.

Compensation

Salary: $110,266.02 per year.
