Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a Staff Auditor I to join its Ryder Audit Services (RAS) team on a fully remote basis, reporting from Sacramento, Sacramento County, US. This entry‑level audit role provides internal audit and advisory support to drive process improvement and risk mitigation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audit fieldwork, including planning, testing, and documentation of findings.
• Assist in evaluating internal controls, identifying gaps, and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare clear, concise audit workpapers and reports for senior auditors and business leaders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather data, understand processes, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Track and follow‑up on remediation actions to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain compliance with Ryder’s audit methodology, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with audit software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
• Interest in pursuing CPA or related professional certification is a plus.
